Authors retain full copyright of their articles and grant the Journal of English Linguistics and Pedagogical Studies (JELPS) the right of first publication. The work will be simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0), which permits others to share the work with proper acknowledgment of authorship and the article’s initial publication in this journal.

Authors may enter into separate, additional non-exclusive agreements for the distribution of the published version of the work (for example, depositing it in an institutional repository or publishing it in a book), provided that its first appearance in this journal is acknowledged.

Authors are also encouraged to post their work online (e.g., in institutional repositories or on personal websites) before and during the submission process, as this may foster academic collaboration and increase the visibility and citation impact of the work.

1. License

2. Author’s Warranties

The author(s) guarantee that:

• the article is original and written by the stated author(s);
• the article has not been previously published;

• the copyright is held exclusively by the author(s) and free of any third-party rights;
• any necessary written permissions to use or reproduce copyrighted materials have been obtained.

3. User Rights

Under the CC BY-NC 4.0 license, users are free to copy, distribute, and transmit the article for non-commercial purposes, provided that appropriate credit is given.

4. Rights of Authors

Authors retain the following rights:
a. copyright and related proprietary rights, including patent rights;
b. the right to reuse the substance of the article in future works (e.g., lectures, books);
c. the right to reproduce copies of the article for personal use (not for sale);
d. the right to self-archive the article in institutional or personal repositories.

5. Co-Authorship

If the article is jointly authored, the corresponding author warrants that all co-authors have approved this agreement and are informed of its terms.

6. Termination

This agreement may be terminated by the author(s) upon written notice if JELPS materially breaches the agreement and fails to remedy such breach within 30 days of notification.

7. Royalties

No royalties or other fees will be paid to authors. To the extent permitted by law, authors waive their right to collect royalties for the use of their work by JELPS or its sublicensees.

8. Miscellaneous

JELPS will publish the article once it has successfully passed the editorial and peer-review process. The journal reserves the right to adjust the article’s formatting (punctuation, spelling, capitalization, style) as needed. All published articles will be made freely accessible online to ensure the widest possible readership. JELPS also reserves the right to sublicense the granted rights.
